Need picture of how charcoal canister is hooked up

Hey all. I'm curious if my charcoal canister is hooked up properly. There are three hoses going to the top of it. My vacuum diagram under the hood is a little vague...shows two hoses going to the charcoal canister, not 3 (by the way all 3 are on top). A photo of someone's hooked up properly charcoal canister would be most helpful! Oh by the way, I have a 92 Geo Metro 1.0L.

Is that the black rectangular box on the Firewall close to the Brake Cylinder?

Here's an old photo I took last year...probably not very informative.

I will photograph mine tomorrow when it is light again.

Never touched mine, so if mine is correct....if not....(?)

Do these buggers need changing?

Re: Need picture of how charcoal canister is hooked up

It depends. I changed mine just because I got a good price for one ($30, from factory they're $80). Also because when I blew through it I smelled strong fuel vapors (I smelled fuel from inside the car, since the vent hose goes out the driver side engine area). I put in a new one. There was considerable weight difference (the older they are the heavier they are because the charcoal is soaked with fuel).

Anyway just letting you know. If I could get a clearer picture of where the hoses go, I would appreciate it!

Also check the fuel lines that go into the throttle body for leaks at the connection point. I had a problem like this in my Dodge Spirit, kept smelling gasoline when I was driving the car, found out that was what was causing it.

Re: Need picture of how charcoal canister is hooked up

Do you realize that you can page thru whatever that link is by incrementing up
or down via the web link.

http://www.prokee.hu/suzukat/siwft1/64.htm

Change the 64 to a 63 and hit enter...etc etc. so on and so forth....

63 is Emission Controls......59 is the thermostat.....75 is the trany gears....25 is the timing belt & camgear

Try the little blue arrows at the top.....or did you already know this?

You can do that with most any link as long as it works...

Re: Need picture of how charcoal canister is hooked up

Thanks for the tips but I figured it out. Also I'm getting a 1992 Geo Metro service manual in a few days, looking forward to getting that.
Well thanks again for all your help, talk to you later.
