Arrow box for 15inch alpine type R

hey anyone out there know what shape/size sub box i should build for my 15 inch alpine type R??? i have a kenwood 1100watt amp and the type R gets it all to itself but i just need to know the right size and shape of box to get maximum umphhh out of the sub.

i built a fairly large sub box out of particle board in kind of a triangle shape so the sub is on a 45 degree angle but it doesn't pound at all !!!

Re: box for 15inch alpine type R

the shape is not so important ... the interior volume is VERY important, especially when you are porting it.

A box designed with that program will give you bass. It may not sound great, but you did buy a 15.

I guess if all you listen to is rap. A ported 15 would have a hard time keeping up with metal or something like that.

Re: box for 15inch alpine type R

not a well made one ...... but it's true, some subs are made for SPL only and can be kinda sloppy on some of the upper bass - but size is not the only factor.
