Oil Pan Problems

Well, after doing tons of work (and spending $$$) on this truck over the past couple of weeks, I still have a problem. I changed the oil lines, the cooler line adapter gasket that connects to the block, and the timing chain composite cover. While I thought I had all the leaks under control, it turns out I still have a leak, and its for sure the oil pan. Pisses me off - I hate oil leaks, and hate it even more when I have to do work twice, I was there at the oil pan.

My question is, I really don't want to pull the front diff out, and do it that way. Is there enough clearence to just lift the engine with a engine hoist, just enough to slip the pan out, or is the only way pretty much to pull the differential out. I want to pull the pan, clean it completely, and probably replace the oil pump with a new unit since I am there already.

I want to get it done ASAP, as its starting to get cold here, and want to keep to my previous descision on not working on cars in the winter. So just have to decide how to do it.

I would look closer and ask if its by the rear of the oil pan cause the rear main is probably the leaking part and have to pull the trans and transfer to get to. Front diff rear pinion seals also look like oil pan by the filter adaptor.
Make sure the PCV is good and the other side vent tube clear so internal pressure is not building and forcing oil out. Pans usually do not leak - they are cast, rigid, and don't flex. Let us know.

At first, for a moment I thought it was the rear main. After looking at it very closely, really cleaning the engine up and watching for leaks, its defiently the pan. I was about to pull the front diff out, but I think I can drop it a little, maybe use the hoist to pull the engine up a couple of inches, and I should be able to slip that pan out without much trouble.

At least its much better than before. It was leaking from everywhere, front timing cover, the front crank seal, the cooler lines, the adapter, its was bad. I just have the pan left, and noticed a little seepage at the rocker covers, so I'll get that straightened out too. At least I know the synthetic oil is doing a good job cleaning the engine up inside.
