97 Suburban major oil problem

97 Suburban, put new trans in about 6 mos ago, been running great. Parked in yard after driving for several hours with no problems, went to start next morning and it was making a ticking noise. So shut off and drove different vehicle. Few days later went to check it out again and still ticking, backed it down the hill till I could have it further checked. Turned it off, looked under hood everything looked fine. Started it back up, heard little bit of a noise, ticking stopped, then heard liquid, popped the hood and oil was going everywhere. Haven't attempted to start again, don't want to make matters worse. Any suggestions??

Um, look under neath to see what's what, maybe a cooler line or oil filter leak.
