Spring Fell Off Strut!

I have a 2000 Neon and was installing SRT springs and struts, I installed the back a week ago with no problems. I started installing the front springs at 8 AM this morning and just called it quits. I took managed to take out old struts and springs and replaced it with the SRT springs and struts then took it for a test drive and thats when it happened. At first I heard this clunkin noise then snap and my passenger side dropped then i had to pull over because my tire was rubbing against the spring. I thought it wouldnt be a big deal and maybe I installed the spring wrong so i took it out and reinstalled it again, same thing happened all over again so then i got this idea that maybe the passenger spring was bad,,,so i installed the stock front spring on the srt strut and guess what happened again. It starts of as a clunk8in noise when you turn the wheel then it drops out any help appreciated
