can i put the transmission fron a dodge caravan 89 to a dodge caravan 96,they look to mouch the same.

I think you can only replace within the generation your van is. In some years you must replace with the same years. This has to do with how the tranny is controlled. Consult the interchange manual for exact details. Most wreaking yards have it, as do most local libraries.

the 89 should be a 41te I think they done away with it in 93 or so
