so i was wondering if MIVEC is like Vtec in the way that we could just which heads to get MIVEC. assuming that there is a mivec engine with the same liters and displacement as the 4g63.

 Yes, MIVEC is the Mitsu version of VTEC. There are 4g63's with MIVEC heads, but they are on the new Evo's like crunchy said, that engine is a mirror of the DSM 4g63 so it wont work.

He musta saw one of those new eclipse commercials .... The all newwwww 263 hp mivec v6 Mitsubishi eclipse. What they neglected to mention the fact that it was FF, and the curb weight is heavier than my talon with me and thor in it! (haha the old thor)

MIVEC also comes in the new Evo's, IIRC its just the 9's right now. MIVEC isnt exactly new technology, its been around in foriegn Mitsu's. IIRC some 4 cylinder MIVEC came in the FTO's but I dont know what the literage of that engine is or even if it sthe same MIVEC. Seems to me the MIVEC I remember reading about had variable valve timing and at cruise/idle it would shut off 2 cylinders. I dont know if thats the same as new MIVEC though...
Please dont joke about my weight, I've been getting shit for it my whole life and though I am not a fatass anymore, I am still a touch sensitive about it.
