Anyone have any issues with the headlight switch

on late 90's trucks? Mine is a 99 k3500 and the tail and clearance lights went teats up in the middle of the night on I70 in western Kansas. I spent the night in Hays and discovered the connector burned at the light switch the following morning. I made a temporary repair and came home in the daylight. I know this is a 98 and older forum but my truck is the mid 90s body style and would apply here.

I have an early 90's model and had a similar problem though I had my camper and boat trailer hooked up at the time, ste switch and connector couldn't handle the load and fried.

To many lights for the single switch. Might want to wire up a fused circuit and run just for your camper and trailer running lights and put them on a separate switch.
