2000 f-150

2000 f-150 with a v6 engine...72,000 miles. At times usually under acceleration the engine will bog down and run rough for a few seconds. It happens alot but not always. CHANGED
1. spark plugs
2. plug wires
3.air/fuel filters
4. coil pack
5. pvc valve
6. carbon cleaning-----at dealer (rip off)
7. clean maf sensor

I had a old car that did that very often. It was a bad fuel injector. I don't know if it's the same thing though because yours sounds more intermittent. No Check Engine Light?

Listen to your injectors use a long screwdriver to your ear and listen for erratic behavior. Check ohms on each injector look for one way out of range.

heres a few things in general: check the fuel pressure and see if its low check the plugs again(know they were replaced but if there is a bad injector you may see one or more of the plugs look different from each other which could lead you to the cylinder etc. other stuff, bad tps sesnor or circuit wiring, map sensor, air temp sesnsor, maf sensor, timing issues(ignition), air leak in intake duct or manifold dirty throttle plate/bore ,injector(S) lean and of course spark plug wires, coils etc.

are there any dtc's? codes?? I would check for codes first, then recheck the plugs/wires etc and ignition system, then the fuel pressure. is it ok at idle or after you get going?

one good check would be to hook up a vacuum gauge to the main vacuum source and see what happens at idle, acceleration, decel etc under a load..... run a hose so you can see while your driving after the initial checks. also hopefully the cat/s are ok ie.. no restrcition in the exhaust. this sounds like a timing/ignition issue or vacuum thing. hopefully its nothing major. I once had a piece of carbon blocking 2 of my spark plug gaps and ok at low end but at high speed high load the truck shook like crazy.

Thanks everyone for the great advice, will check all that was mentioned. Also a friend at work suggested checking all grounds for loose or faulty connections. Love the truck but hate the way it runs at times. Thanks again!!
