I got new brake front pads on my 01 sentra and after I put it myself after a few weeks it started to make a noise when driving (driver side), when I push the brakes the noise dissappear....as soon as I'm not pushing the brake pedal..the noise start again...:-(...according to the repair manual...the problem could be a metal plate that hold the brake pad inside the caliper....any idea?...
thanks guys! |

Re: Front Brake Pads! Help!!
it could just be break dust or it could be that whoever put your pads on didn't put break quiet on them. either way, you really don't have to worry about it, unless it annoys you.

Re: Front Brake Pads! Help!!
its either that brake pad clip, or rust on the caliper slides. not very often is it because of improper break in but it is possible.

Re: Front Brake Pads! Help!!
My car is in the parking lot of a shop right now to get my front pads replaced after making this noise. It worked when my back pads started acting up. However, I do have drilled slotted. PS: Ya, thats right... I'm having a shop do the work. It's too cold and spec brakes are too much of a pain in the ass to do it myself. :P
