Towing with 4cyl 4Runner
Hi guys,
I am thinking of buying a tent trailer from a friend. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if it is safe to tow it with my 4 cylinder 1990 4wd 4Runner. The trailer sticker says: GVWR: 875 KG GAWR: 802 KG Thanks for the help, Mark |

Re: Towing with 4cyl 4Runner
Get the tent trailer's weight first.
And make sure you don't "overtow", not that an extra 75kg can systematicaly make it dangerous, but if you have an accident while towing too much, your insurances might try to spin that in their favor so they won't have to pay.

First thing get a good hitch. Then make sure your brakes are good. Then watch your tempt gauge when towing. Automatic or standard trnsmission? If pulling or towing trailer most recommend no towing in overdrive. MT
