Please Help Me Find A Part:

Hey fellas, I'm looking for a replacement switch that is used under the hood of my 1988 Grand Prix SE. The switch makes the light come on under the hood. I am having a EXTREMELY HARD time finding this part.

Any info anyone can give including the name of this part or where I can get one would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Please Help Me Find A Part:

The on/off switch is part of the lamp/socket assembly. It is gravity operated. As you lift the hood, the switch makes contact and turns the light on. As you lower the hood, it breaks contact, and shuts the light off.

Welcome to AF!!

Try rock-auto.com or gmpartsdirect.com. They should have what you are looking for but you should be able to find the switch at any dealer.
