01 Bravada radio question

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem with their radio. I went to the store yesterday, had the radio on, got to the store, shut off the car & when i came back & started the car the radio wasn't on. I had to push the volume button to turn the radio back on. It's been doing this for 3 years that we've owned it. Didn't reall bother with it because it's my wifes car & i don't drive it much. Also i'm getting alittle static while listening to the radio only. Kind of like a krackling. thinking about replacing the stoock radio.
