'88 Temp guage and speaker replacement
Being "new" to my '88 suburban c10 I am not sure as to how big of a project replacing my temp guage and front driver dash speaker is. The needle on the guage appears to be broken. Adding an aftermarket guage would req a tee fitting and lots of odd plumbing so as not to mess with the fuel injection. This is the new family tow beast and I don't want to overheat the engine accidently while towing a trailer on hills.
Any suggestions? Jon |

Re: '88 Temp guage and speaker replacement
Replacing the temp gauge isn't all that difficult, just time consuming. I believe your 88 has the same style dash as my 86. Once you get the trim cover and faceplate removed then the gauge itself is just a plug in. You can search local wrecking yards for one or you could check http://car-part.com/ or get a new one from LMC truck at http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/csb/t1.html. Good luck!
