Re: mopar performence vs aftermarket
Honestly, I would suggest using aftermarket parts rather than Mopar.

Re: mopar performence vs aftermarket
i have to disagree. the mopar parts are the way to go, UNLESS you know what your doing!!!!! mopar parts are easy, really easy, to install. there is no messing with anything. just plug it in and go. this is coming from someone with LOTS of aftermarket parts on his car. the only mopar part i have is the short shifter. everything else is aftermarket, and im still telling you to go mopar unless you know how to tune/modify.

Re: mopar performence vs aftermarket
Yeah, that is a valid point, if you are pretty clueless with cars and only know simple mechanics then Mopar upgrades would be benificial. But if you are a money saver, like me, then getting your parts from 30 different sources would be more cost effective than one Mopar kit(or accessory).

Re: mopar performence vs aftermarket
One thing about the Mopar Kits is that the dealer can still work on your car. All of the on board diagnostics work as designed and nothing is bypassed or tweaked (giving false signals to the ECU). You can get 300hp in Mopar Performance kits, have it installed by a dealer and have everything still fully functional, including the factory warranty.
It is cheaper to buy seperate parts one by one (maybe). But after you add a piggyback controller, fuel regulator, aftermarket injectors and have it dyno tuned, there is a lot to go wrong that the Dodge dealer is not going to have a clue about. |

Re: mopar performence vs aftermarket
Only one thing about that though....Not all dealerships warrenty(or will work on) with Mopar parts. Just because XXXX dealership installed the s2 kit and for some reason your third gear goes out...well, in most situations they will try to corrilate the two. etc. etc.

Re: mopar performence vs aftermarket
the dealer is more prone to working on a car with mopar parts as aposed to aftermarket! and the stg 3 kit is pulling some great times at the drag strip!
