Jeep Cherokee knocking during idle
We purchased a 95 Jeep Cherokee with 97000 miles on it 4 years ago. It now has 142000 miles on it. It has had the same knocking noise from the day we purchased it and I can not find where it is coming from or what is causing it. It sounds like it is coming from the lower part of the motor. It does not do it when the motor is cold only after it is warmed up. The noise also goes away when you accelerate. My brother also owns a Jeep Cherokee and has the same problem. He was told that they all make this noise. I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this and/or knows how to fix it. It does not seem to affect the performance, it is just an annoyance issue.
Thanks. |

Re: Jeep Cherokee knocking during idle
Hmm... with a little more information on your part, (engine size, etc...), some of the very learned folks here might be able to help...
Also, have a look at the top right of the srceen. There's a search within this forum tool- very handy... Good luck. |
