95 PA disable air bag

Friends, I have a 95 PA. I need to disable the passenger air bag for a repair to a HVAC problem. Any suggestions for how I do this? Thanks much!

Re: 95 PA disable air bag

Remove your airbag fuse, and since you're working with an electrical HVAC system, disconnect your negative the battery cable. Wait about 10-15 minutes because the airbag system has stored energy for emergency deployment, even after the power is cut off. Lastly, underneath the dash, you can disconnect the airbag harness connection. This connector is bright yellow, as well as the wired insulation (basically the whole airbag circuit is yellow to help distinguish it easier)
Good luck with the HVAC!
