Coolant loss
Hey guys, Im loosing coolant and cant figure out where the hell its coming from. The overflow stays full, but the radiator emptys out pretty quick. (1 or 2 days) Once it warms up it leaks somewhere in the back between the engine and firewall. It drips down the driveshaft bell housing and steams when it drips on the exhaust. I posted this same question back in November of last year and couldnt find the problem then and poured some radiator sealer in with more coolant and it stopped for a while, but now it does it every day. Any idea where it may be coming from? Please help ASAP as I'd like to fix it before tomorrow. Been looking for the leak all morning. Its a 2.2L -4cyl. 1997

Re: Coolant loss
Maybe your radiator cap is bad, not releasing pressure from the system into the overflow causing the coolant to blow out at the easiest place it can. If not that, it could be the heater core leaking and running out of the drain for the air conditioning condensation.

Re: Coolant loss
1.) Rad cap needs to be changed. Don't use AC Delco.
2.) Your intake or your head is leaking, you will need to get it checked. This won't be a quick fix.
