Vin Numbers?

Alright everyone tommorow im HOPEFULLY gonna go check out a 91 civic hatch with my dad..dependin if he gets his a** home early enough my question is..the owner doesnt know what model it is..some old guy lol..it has a sunroof but that can mean anything..is there anyway to tell if its an si by the VIN NUMBER?..or any other way?

its an si, only si's came with the sunroof, hehe i just finished my si conversion...the last thing to do was to add the sunroof and now it is done

are u sure? i was told some other models came with a sunroof as an option too..so thats why im skeptical..i only want an si ..no dx or std

as longs as its a factory sunroof its an si, also check for body colored mirrors.....if you can get the VIN email me and i will break it down for you....or someone else on here can

okay thanks guys..if all goes well and we do go drive up to it..if its in good condition ill write the VIN number down and leave a deposit on it so the guy can hold it for me ..and uhh...is there any sites that break the vin down ? links please ! lol

Check the stamp on the block. If it's a D16A6, then it's an Si...

000001~ (meaning 000001 and up) are just unique serial numbers for that plant for that VIN.. (otherwise 2 identical cars from the same plant with the same options would be indistinguishable from each other)
