Need electrical help on a 1970 DeVille
Need electrical help
Once more I need help with my 70 DeVille. Well long story short I have chased an electrical ghost since the day I bought this nightmare. So far I had to do a boat load of alarm removal and wire fixing to now [the car ran and moved up to now] the car is a no start no crank. I have replaced the starter and chased circuits till I went cross-eyed. I put a new ignition switch on it and as I put the column back up the neutral safety switch fell apart. I called the parts store and they do not have access to them at this time. Any ideas??????? On the neutral safety switch there are two plugs. I figure one is the back up lights and the other is the neutral safety switch. One looks like a wide V and the other looks like a normal side-by-side plug. Can you tell me what one is the neutral safety switch’s plug? Can I jumper the sides to bypass and test this theory?

Re: Need electrical help on a 1970 DeVille
I owned one, a sedan and cannot remember, no harm here jump either one, see if it starts, if so that is the one for the solenoid circuit, if the back up lites come on then you know the deal.
