Replacing the carpet

Anyone change the carpet before? I have a 93 EXT and need to replace the carpet. I saw some in JC Whitney for about $350. Any thoughts or comments? How hard was it?

Re: Replacing the carpet

The carpet is in two pieces. Do you need to replace all of it, or only the front or rear section? Regardless of which, the seats need to be removed. I'd advise that you start soaking the fasteners in penetrating oil soon, and apply fresh penetrant every few days until you are ready to roll out the carpet.

Re: Replacing the carpet

I just did all the capret in my 89.
I think I spent about $60 total and it came out nice..
pepboys sold rolls of 6X9 black carpet(exactly what I wanted)
got 2 rolls, some 3M spray on carpet glue, and staples. and egg carton bed foam.

removed everything from the inside of the van and riped out the old shit.
There was actualy mold in the foam under my old carpet, that would explain the smell.
Stapled all the shit down in the back. and glued all teh shit in the front.
Came out nice, the back was easer then the front. but it all came out good.
