K&N intake problem.
My parents 2000 Escalade gets some good gas milage when you don't romp on it, and my dad likes to, so I suggested getting a air intake system and a handheld tuner. The problem is the air goes to a VORTECH air box and I don't know if taking this off and putting the intake on will be better or if I even have to take it off. Help!

on my 2000 i just bought the k&n filter and left the top of the air filter box off. works like a champ even sounds better. just have to "recharge" the filter as needed depending on the use and driving area. keep it clean for better mileage.
