problems with my friends car help !!!!
Alright guys my friend has a 95 tsi awd and i just dropped a evo 3 engine in for him, now the problem i am having is the car will start up and idle perfect but the second i hit the gas it dies and starts popping then let of the gas and it still goes back to a perfect idle. Im stumped here.
Here is what i have done, new fuel filter, new plugs and wires, since its a 1g cas and he does not have dsmlink yet i changed the plug firing order and moved the pins over 1 at the ecu for the injectors. Timing is at 5 degrees. Any suggestions guys? oh and we put 10 gallons of fuel in the tank.

The tps would cause the engine to die when you go to give it gas?

Sounds to me like it could be a bad maf. Try unpluging it and see if it runs any different

unplug the mas
does it throw a code quickly when it dies? Also, there is a random misfire problem with 6bolts in 2g's. Look up random misfire on tuners and see if it sounds right.

it has the cel on but have not scanned it yet and also its the evo 3 7 bolt engine from japan, its a jdm. Remember the one i posted pics of?
I will try to unplug the mas if i get home early enough tonight from work.

No its an evo III motor. They came in 7 bolts but still had all of the 1g stuff because since it wasnt sold in america they didnt have to worrie about emmisions and obdII. Just think of it as a 1g 7 bolt

I changed the maf with the one in my car and it still does the same thing. injectors are pumping. My next step is to try my other TB i have laying around and see what happens. Maybe one of them sensor are shot?

If anyone would like to know we found the problem. His wire harness at the ecu was all fucked up!!! fixed some wires and soldered and heat shrinked them and bam!!! the car runs sweet
