fuel level sender is bad after 75K, should I do fuel pump too?

I'm going to drop the tank to replace the fuel level sender/sensor which is $120. Since it's an '02 w/ 75K miles do you guys think I should replace the pump while it's out? I've heard stories of these pumps dying pretty early in life. The total is about $300 for the pump/level sensor combo. What would you guys do?
TIA

I found a person who keeps a full tank has a lot less problems than somebody who drives on empty. The other thing is how long are you going to keep the vehicle. This is what I would base my decision on.

My wife drives it daily but typically it goes from a full tank to about an 1/8th or so (when the gauge was accurate) and then she fills it up. I also intend to keep this truck for at least 4 or 5 more years.

In your case I would buy a new delco pump or the unit.

IMO, even if you were selling it soon, would replace the whole pump....is a good selling point. anyone who does a little research knows about the sender problems. it may cost you more, but agree that replacing the whole pump module is the best route. would also do the fuel filter as well. rhandwor has a point about keeping fuel in it...the fuel cools the pump, more liquid surrounding it, cooler it runs. fuel pumps are more likely to die after high heat.
