Some fairly extensive brake work

Hello all. I've been troubleshooting my brake system the last week or so and I've come to the conclusion that my master cylander is leaking into my brake booster. Since all my hoses are cracked too, I figured I would just spend a Saturday (tommorow) swapping parts out.

I'm getting a brake booster with the master cylander already attached from Autozone (remanufactured GM stuff) and I was wondering what it takes to replace mine. I flipped though my service manual and it looks like I need to remove the lower hush panels on teh dash, remove a cable from the brake pedal, then remove 4 bolts holding the BB on the firewall. Next, I need to disconnect all my brake hoses from my master cylander and after that the whole MC/BB unit should just slide out of the firewall.

Is this right so far?

After I get these swaped, I need to remove the brake hoses and put the new ones on. At this point I'm ready to bleed all the lines with a fresh bottle of fluid.

Am I missing anything? Is there anything else I need to consider replacing while I've got it apart? Or do I pretty well have the general idea?

Parts come in tommorow so I'll post when I'm not mechanicking.

Re: Some fairly extensive brake work

How do I bench bleed the MC? run fluid through it before I connect it to the brake lines?
