common ground
Does anyone know if there is a common ground involving the brakelights and the liftgate window release? When I push the button on the dash to open the back window, it just clicks. I took off the liftgate panel, my nieghbor (retired dodge dealer mech.)stopped by and was kind enough to poke around with the wiring. He showed me that power is getting to the module/actuator, whatever it is. He says that once it leaves there,it's not getting any ground. The next night, someone stopped beside me at a stoplight and informed me that my breaklights were not working right. I checked it out in the side mirror,it was raining that night, so I could see the breaklights reflect off the street behind me. They were going on/off when I stopped, like a bad connection or something. I should also mention that the multi-function switch is on it's way out. It shut up for awhile, a good couple of months, but now the annoying clicking is back. Is this all connected somewhere, somehow, or does this mean multiple electrical problems?

Re: common ground
Your multi switch and the clicking and your brake lites might me connected but I don't think that would be affecting your rear hatch. Where do you here it click under the dash or in the tailgate?

Re: common ground
thanks, I'll check on that. I just had the fuel pump replaced about a month or 2 ago. Maybe they knocked something loose.

Re: common ground
Also, autolocks on door sometimes lock after I'm already a block down the street. They used to lock as soon as I put it in gear. Dash lights goes from dim to bright, but never go out completely. Any electrical geniuses out there? I'm hoping this is all tied to one bad ground somewhere. It all looks like spaghetti to me. Just looking for a place to start.
