Shift Kit?

I was riding in my friends stock 06 Mustang GT the other day, and he was able to spin the tires in 2nd or 3rd gear. It was a stick so he could let the clutch out fast. I know my car has enough power to spin the tires between gears, would a shift kit give it enough firmness? Which one should I get? And would this kit actually get me better acceleration?

Re: Shift Kit?

spinning tires actually means you are losing acceleration, a break in traction means less power being transfered to the road to move you forward. ideal is to accelerate as fast as possible with out breaking traction.

Re: Shift Kit?

True, but the shifts are still a bit slow...

Re: Shift Kit?

"TRG-4L60E" shift kit sold by summit. Made by transgo, works on 4l60e from 93-02. It cancels automatic shifting, and makes it a shift by hand. $130.00 is a pretty good price.
