twin turbos

hey im lookin into buying twin turbos for my 94 gt. i can find a pair w/ headers, gaskets, and of course the turbos for around $700(one great deal). I was wondering if i will have to make any more mods on it or if i can just install and drive? I was thinkin it should boost me up to at least 350hp coming from 215hp or is that off?
THANKS
ALEX

Re: twin turbos

Injectors, w/g, blow off, and a good mapping is all you need. You'll be looking more like 400hp depending on the turbos.

Re: twin turbos

What turbos are they? If they are the cheap ones from China, don't bother.

Re: twin turbos

I would not use them. Not a very good kit, plus I would bet the farm, that those turbos will break not long after installation.

That kit is lacking more than 1 main ingrediant. Dont even bother with the low buck half ass shit like that. Do it right the first time and dont look back. If you really want to go cheap on this then flip your stock manifolds, go to the junk yard and get 2 turbo coupe t-bird turbos, buy a decent wg/bov, run all the plumbing yourself, and have fun for less. Even if you did buy that ebay kit you would have to get a bov, and plumb you hot and cold side pipeing. If you want to spend the cash then talk to Brian at B&G Custom. He will build you a turbo kit and get you set up with all the right parts ready to install and looking top notch. All you would have to do then is upgrade your fuel system which you will have to do reguardless of the turbo kit you go with.

Re: twin turbos

so how much would i have to pay for a twin turbo if i bought from a car shop here in town? What about a single turbo..would that be a better idea and how about the hp on just the one? and would there be a great change in price or should i just spend that extra money and do twins?
thanks

Re: twin turbos

go to www.turbomustangs.com,

Look at the list of venders that sell turbos.

You might want to get a hold of a local Mustang club, before you go and spend your money. They can put you in touch with the right turbo shop, rather than going into it blind.

For a good kit installed, your looking around $4k for a great deal.

What do you want? Power, streetable, 1/4, road racing, street racing?
