87 Cherokee dies when turning a corner

It runs fine except that it just dies when you turn a corner. The idle is good and it runs smooth. It restarts immediately aftert dying too. Anyone have any suggestions as to what would cause this?
Thanks,
Bill

My first thought is that perhaps something is grounding out. Does it occur in L and R corners, or only one direction? Check for loose/dangling wires under the hood and underneath.

Re: 87 Cherokee dies when turning a corner

I have aan 1989 jeep cherokee. I had the same problem. I had heard that it was an engineering problem and had several different fixes. But, after the fuel pump in the gas tank had to be replaced lo and behold.....

THAT PROBLEM disappeared.

Im guessing it was because the fuel pump was weak so it wasn't able to draw gas through which would cause the pressure at it output to drop. A stall would occur. OOOOOHHHH that would piss me off when it happened. So much I hated going around corners. If ya know what I mean.
I hope I was of some help. GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS.
