I need help!

it all started with my res pulse signal in my 94 camaro. one time when i was coming home from work it just died. all the lights was on its like someone just turned a switch off or something. well i took it to a gm dealer and they "fixed" it and it didnt happen ever sense . until last night when i was driving home again and it did the same thing. all the lights was on it was just like someone turned off a switch. so i checked the fuel pump and the fuel lines but theres plenty of fuel going to the injectors. so i thought it might be that the injectors arent injecting or the spark plugs arent spraking.when i ran a test on the car the only code that showed up was 36 Baro sensor low. I dont know anything when it comes to all these sensors and stuff. please help!

Re: I need help!

Have you checked for spark and the condition? The baro low may be a vacuum leak?

Re: I need help!

No, a quick abrupt death like you describe ussualy points to a ignition/electrical problem.

By condition I mean do you have a strong spark (blueish white) or poor spark (orange)?

Re: I need help!

I'm farily confident that if the problem is present at the time you check, there will be a spark issue. Also, look around the water pump for any signs of coolant leaking!

Re: I need help!

ok i checked my plugs and there is no spark at all but i don't know if it s the distributer because the coil or what ever the thing that sends the spark to the distributer isnt sending a spark either so is there a fuseable link or even a fuse that i over looked . maybe a ground? do i need a new one or can i fix it myself?

Re: I need help!

I'm not very familiar with your set up on that year, but I believe it uses a crankshaft sensor? If there is no signal from the sensor the control module will not fire the opti I think
