Cracked Door Handle

My 2002 Taurus has crack in drivers exterior door handle, flexes at crack when pulled. I was wondering if part can be repaired in place. I was thinking about putting a 1/16 inch line of JB Weld or similar material on backside handle behind crack. Hopefully it will glue it back together or reinforce. As last resort, I can replace it. Any suggestions?

How do you remove the door handle? I've taken car door interior panels off before. Is there a trick to removing the grasping part of the handle or do you need to get inside the door and unbolt it? Thanks

Re: Cracked Door Handle

I would just replace it before it gets put off too long and weather becomes a factor.

Re: Cracked Door Handle

I've used J.B. Weld, sometimes it holds, sometimes it doesn't.
