lowering

Hi can some one help me out i want to know how to lower a car?
Ive got a s15 silvia and fugimi itr and i dont know how to lower them cause they look dumb how they are is it just as easy as cutting the suspension or not?
P Man would you be able to do a step by step guide on how you lower your cars?
