After rubing on the compund and then waxing does the wax bring out more of the shine or is it just to cut down on the dust, fingerprints, ect.? Is automotive wax to harsh should I use model wax? THANKS.

Re: waxing?
Yes, the wax will add some extra shine and generally clean up the model.
I use Final Detail model wax and Maguies Crystal Car wax as well as Tamiya model wax. Be careful with soem automotive waxes as tehy can be very harsh and abrasive. A search should provide you with many threads with more info on this.
