77 nova tranny modulator?

Hi everybody, i just found this forum, and may I say, thank god there are people like ya'll out there. My 77 nova has a 350 turbo tranny in it and when i replaced it i torqued the modular off!! I really messed up. I broke the bracket that holds it on. Is there anyway to fix this or do I have to get a new tranny? HELP!!

Let me see if I understand this .. you were tightening the bolt that holds the bracket on, you got a little overzealous and the bolt broke off in the case? No need to panic. You can drill a hole in the dead center of the broken bolt and use a bolt extractor (such as an EZ-Out). The extractor you get won't be that big, since this bolt is 1/4". As you turn the bolt in the loosening direction (left), the extractor will tighten into the screw and pull it out. You have to be careful with this, because if you break the extractor off, you've just compounded your problem.
