Tow Haul light comes on

Hi,well just got the hub assembly changed ,now while driving,my tow haul light comes on (tow haul actually engages).I know these two things (hub and tow haul are not interrelated) but it would've been nice to go a day with out something else popping up.If I "jiggle" the shifter the light will go out or sometimes even a love tap on top of the dash will put the light out.Anyone else had something like this?Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks
P.S. The light doesn't come on all of the time while driving.Sometimes I can go out for a ride and everything works just fine,sometimes not.....c'mon guys put yer thinkin' caps on....Thanks again

Maybe there is some dirt or build up behind the switch, not sure if you can take it apart but maybe you could just take a can of air and shoot it back there as good as you can... Just a thought

tow/haul button is on the end of the gear selector

Man!!!! How stupid do I feel???????I knew where the switch was......Must've had a brain fart.Thanks for your input,it's appreciated

The other place to look is to pull the covers off your Steering Column. Check to see where the cable goes up the Drive Shifter and where it attaches to the column. It could be your having a short or something like that inside the Column..

hi what did you find out on this i have a 2001 that if you bump the gear shift the tow/hail light come on tou cam move shifter or bump and it will go out also thanks tm
