vtec-e is for like the gas mileage cars, such as the 92-95 Civic Vx or 96-2000 Civic HX. Less HP and more gas mileage.

normal VTEC consists of stock height cam lobes and VTEC cam lobes which open the valves higher than stock for more performance

VTEC-E is basically smaller primary lobes and when the VTEC-e kicks in, its running about the same as a VTEC on stock lobes. get it?

and it only took 3 yrs of bitching :finger: i think i'll call it "V-tEcH, yO!"

as for the vtec-e those have are like 92 bhp @ 5500 and 97 lb-ft @ 4500 of torque. compare that to a d16a6 108 bhp @ 6000 and 100 lb-ft @ 5000 of torque. pretty funny. you probably could even beat it with a dx's (d15b2) 92 bhp @ 6000 with 89 lb-ft @ 4500.

who says newer = better

The 96-2000 Civic HX D16Y has 115 bhp @ 6200 and 104 lb-ft @ 5400. I wouldnt mind one of those but would rather have the z6 or y8

LOL - the D15B computer-controlled twin Keihin carbed engine we got over here put out 100bhp - 102 in JDM spec I understand Awesome fuel economy along with a motor that was really zippy

So much for VTEC-E

i do have a y8...why? because the mechanic that was supposed to rebuild my head and reaplce the head gasket on my beloved a6 screwed it up. i had to drop something in. but guess where the a6 is now? in the 4 door . the y8 is jealous...it heard me talking about boosting the a6 instead of it

now if i would have pulled my a6 for a b16, then i would have been busted :licker: :hehehe:
