1997 GMC Jimmy

i have to jerk my keys back and forth in the ignition switch before my truck will turn over. it's been about 5 months and at first it was just a little but now it takes 5 minutes or so or like this morninig i never could get it to start
at first i was told it was the fuel pump but now i'm told it's the ignition switch.
I've never dealt with ignitition switch's can someone give me heads up if this is something simple to change and if i need special tools or not! thanks

Check out the how to section, there is a write up with pictures on this. I did mine in about 1 1/2 hrs.

Try this link:
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=287636
It is the how to for the ignition switch.
For future reference, the how to section is located at the main blazer forum page. It is the second item down in the s-series subforums - just below the classifieds and above Int/Ext/Appearance.
