Re: Prelude Seat Swap in 96 Camry
If you have a manual adjust seat it is just a question of lining up the mounting points and checking floor clearance, and probably drilling new holes in the underside of the seat tracks if possible.
The Camry has seat mounts that attach to the center tunnel and door sill to improve foot clearance for rear seat passengers under the front seats. A Prelude could be different. Really you should remove the passenger side Camry seat and take it with you to compare side by side.
Another approach is that you can order new foam cushions for the stock seats and have an upholstery shop install them.
I bought my Camry from a Grandmother who serviced the car regularly at the dealer, but was overweight and slouched. Always hard to get comfortable in those seats until I put in new cushions.
Ordered from an online dealer to reduce cost. Also had Custom Soft Trim install leather seating at the same time, but that would be optional.
