Flooding problem on 1983 Ram, 360 ci
I have a 1983 Ram pickup with a 360, and it's flooding like crazy. Here's the even crazier part: with the breather cap removed, it runs great. If I put the breather cap back on (with or without an air filter in place) it will pretty soon start to run rough and quit. With the breather in place it produces lots of black smoke. With no breather it runs clean & smooth.
Any ideas on what could cause this? Thanks in advance for your help. |

Re: Flooding problem on 1983 Ram, 360 ci
if your talking about the crankcase breather in the valve cover then i would say it's plugged as the pcv valve sucks some vacuum out of the crankcase and if the breather is plugged it will try to suck more in the lower intake and suck more from the ports in the carb
