need info on the sc300

so i was looking at some street racing vids and noticed how many of them had the supra motor in them? is this something that is stock, is it a supra with a lexus badge? or is this a drop in project here? i know very little about this cars, someone please fill me in on the details. i want to know anything and everything

sc300's come stock with the 2JZ supra motors.

ok thats awsome so it like the jap 180 and the us 240sx. so if i were goin to do this swap were do i go about finding a kit or the peace parts i need to make a running 2jz?

why not just buy a sc300 with a working motor. You can pick them up for $5-7K.

Btw, since were whoring..heres my friends turbo SC300...currently the worldest fastest.

??? ok im confused now. can u get an u.s.a sc300 with the 2jzgte or is that a jap set up only. and if that setup what made in the us then what yea had it. if the setup was jap only and i bye the us 300 and have to get a 2jz, were do i get one from?

only the 2JZ motor was available in the SC300. If you want the 2JZGTE motor, youll have to pull one from a supra. Both the sound-performance.com (white lexus posted above) and my friends lexus are custom turbo kits.

ok i think im getting u now. so the sc300 had the none turbo 2jz 3.0L. ok so if you turbo it, how much can it take before u have to start ripping into the insides of it. and do the 2jzgte and the none turbo 2jz parts fit on one or the other?

yes the parts are interchangable. Not sure what the stock block can handle. You would be better off asking that on a authetic supra forum (aka not AF).
