Dumd Question: Do superchargers need to have a blowoff valve?

Not really, since the blower is controled by the crank. So when the engine slows down, the blower we as well, not like in a turbo. When a turbo engine slows down the turbo is still spinning, creating a great deal of back pressure, so it needs a place to go, at least that is my take on it.
Mine does not have a blow off valve. All the skylines at the dyno run sure did though.
