HKS SSQV bov question

My friend sold me his HSK SSQV brand new $170, my problem is, I have to block the hose that come from the intake. What do I use to block the hose up ? if I block it, any problem or performing loss ?

Re: HKS SSQV bov question

killer, you MUST buy the recirculation kit for the HKS BOV first.

If you cap off the hose from the intake, you will experience real crappy idle and you car will sound like it is trying to die. Also your idle will drop and stutter in between shifts. You MUST get teh recirulation kit...unless you shell out like another $200 and get the gm maf translator and then their is no need to recirculate.

Check out scottsee's recent thread...he just recently set up his car with a gm maf.
