ignition switch
i recently replaced my ignition switch and now when i shut the car off and take the key out the accessory lights stay on as does the radio. If i put the key back in and turn it forward just a little the lights and radio will shut off but then i cant take the key out. did i goof something up when i put the switch in or is the switch a faulty piece. thanks for any help

Re: ignition switch
Do the radio and lights stay on when you open the door after taking out the key? Blazers have a courtesy circuit that leaves the power to the radio for about fifteen minutes and to the accesory lights for about a minute or so after the ignition is off and the key is removed.

Re: ignition switch
yeah, after i open the door and close it and walk away the radio will still be playing and the overhead console stays on that says the temp. the dome light will shut off but not those two things. it acts as if the key is in the ignition but turned backward where you can run the radio without the car on.
