I have a Uniden CB with a 3ft magnetic antenna on my trunklid. I put the CB and mounting bracket on the passenger side of the center console, partially under the glovebox. I haven't had a problem with passengers hitting it, being that it doesn't shrink the leg room down all that much. Check out this page for a picture of the location: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/382027/3 I haven't updated the page in a while, but I threw this on quickly just for you to see. Hope it helps. I have all the wires and fuse tucked behind the trim panel.
