Just bought 94 3K, couple questions

Right now I'm just in the stages of getting some basics down with the car. I need some help with a couple of things.

A couple of interior light bulbs have blown, I just need to know how to get to the red light on the door panel, does the just pop out or does the panel need to be removed?
I need to get to the passenger side light that illuminates the auto window and locks.
Is the audio equalizer supposed to light up?
I also need to change a bulb on one of the climate controls (hot/cold) how do I get to that?

The rear defrosters don't work. When I push the defroster button to the right of the wheel, the indicator light on the button doesn't turn on. All the connection in the window seem to be connected, any suggestions on this?

Do the speaker grilles pop out of the door panels or do you have to remove the door panels?

That's all I can think of right now. I just don't wanna pop anything out and break something. Anything that can be answered is greatly appreciated. I'm just new to the car right now.

3. yes, check fuse panel under dash to left of your left leg. also check fuse in back of radio
4. remove climate control, disassemble, replace bulb.
5. check fuse. also, remove dash trim and check to see if light for defrost is simply burned out.

i just changed my speakers a couple months ago, and i know the panels have to come off to do that, but not for the red light on the door. the red panel just pops off with a straight screw driver and under that is a white plastic piece that holds the bulb and thats held in place by two phillips screws. then again if u need to get the speaker grates out u need to pull off all the door panels anyway. so yeah, everything linebckr said but 1 doesn't need to whole panel.

Thanks for the replies. Like I said, Dumb questions I know, but it's just too nice for me to break anything, and I doubt any junkyard would ever have a 3k, at least not one that I've seen.

OK I found one other thing. In the driver side where the wires go from the dash into the door, I found two cut wires (both coming out of the dash). One is White with a blue stripe and the other is Blue with a black stripe. What are these wires for? The previous owner said he disconnected the power locks because they were locking when he didn't want (don't ask). But I would like to reconnect them just to see for myself. I don't know if these wires have anything to do with power locks.

ive noticed that if i unlock the car with the key fob, but dont open the drivers door, it will relock itself after 3 minutes or so. maybe thats what he was talking about?

well the thing is, they're both coming from the dash. If they were supposed to be connected they wouldn't be there in the first place, they would be tucked away under the dash. And I did reconnect them but nothing happened, I just wanted to know if anyone knew what the wires specifically did.

There is no lights in the passenger side lock/window switches.
For the climate control its not just a bulb. Most likely its a reistor that is burnt out.
You have to remove the door panels to access the door speakers. The grilles actually screw on from inside the door panel.
The rear defroster could just be a faulty switch.

Ok sorry, it's been awhile. Back to the rear defroster problem. I have been waiting for a new switch in the mail for a couple of weeks, so I finally got it. Problem is, it does the same thing. On the switch, that little light above the picture doesn't light up at all when pushed in. The button also doesn't "stick" like say... the fog light switch does. When the button is pushed, it stays inward until pushed again, the rear defroster button doesn't do that. Is it supposed to? So far this is the only thing i can think of because everything else seems to be wired up fine, so I just wan't to test a good switch.

the rear defrost button does not stick like the other buttons around it do. however, the orange light should come on to show that the defrost is working properly. if its not coming on, perhaps either the bulb is burnt out or a fuse is the problem. can you confirm that when you push the defrost button, the rear window heats up?

No the window does not defrost when the button is pressed. I even literally held the button down for a few minutes just to see if it would defrost but no luck. Tomorrow I will replace the bulb with one that I am sure works to see if I get anything.

This is a new problem as of today. I am not getting any heat in my car. This has not happened before. The heat in my car is usually so hot that you cannot leave your hand next to the air without it getting pretty warm. My car does not overheat, but the gauge reads in the middle where it should. The only thing I have done today is mess with the head unit, and I doubt I knocked anything off that would have made the heat not work, but if I could have, what would it be? It's not cold air, but it's definately not hot like it should be.

Check the coolant, if its a little low you wont get any heat.
