Aussie Food

I have my cousins and niece over from Australia for a month, they bought some indiginous food with them, like Vegemite and Tim Tams.
Havn't tried the Vegemite, but the Tim Tam's ROCK! It's two chocolate buscuits covered in milk chocolate... fucking delicious! any aussies agree? and hows vegemite? i'm scared to try it...

Re: Aussie Food

Tim Tams are the best chocolate biscuits available.

Vegemite is great, but use it SPARINGLY. Do NOT slather it on, just use a small amount with generous amount of butter on hot toast.

Look up a thread by Jinushaun on Vegemite if you want a laugh.

Re: Aussie Food

well the thing is apparently loaded with vitamin B, so atleast its really healthy. Reading Jinushuan's thread, i'm even more afraid to try it now, but even more curious... i'll have a go before classes tomorrow.

Re: Aussie Food

so i tried some vegemite today on buttered white toast with some tea...

not bad... but not really that good either. i'm indifferent on it, but like Jinushaun, I've got an entire fucking jar of this stuff, and spreading it "sparingly" on toast will last me more than a year or so, if i eat it everyday. Also, the stuff smells like day-old skunked malt liquor...reminds me of freshman year in college.

Re: Aussie Food

Vegemite is gross. I hate it almost as much as I hate mayo. Bleh.
