Water Sloshing

I have a ton of water sloshing around in my 2000 GMC envoy .. its sounds like its in the back floor cargo area. Its not the fuel tank ... I have filled it up .. when I corner I hear a huge SPLUUUUUSH!@@@ from side to side...

How do I get it out .. and where is it getting in from to fix the problem?

Re: Water Sloshing

Start removing the trim panels in the rear both sides unless you can isolate the area, maybe sit back there and have some one drive it. After pinpointing the area, as I said, take out all the trim adjacent to the area, dry everyhting out, then with the area exposed water test truck someone watching the area for the source of water intrusion, post back results for addt'l info.

Re: Water Sloshing

Any tips on removing the pannels? The carpet is not wet its not leaking into the truck its in the frame or in the floor? so removing teh pannels will i be abloe to see in the body?
One person suggest that the sun roof is disconnected so its draining in the truck ...
I will see if I can get in some how... Tonight!

Re: Water Sloshing

Look in the rear 1/4 wells first but the drive/test will tell you where it is.

Re: Water Sloshing FIXED

I found that underside the back of the truck there are two drains- they are about 1.5" around at the top an then taper down to a thin tube - the tube look like its been crushed but that is the way it is from the factory imagine a piece of hose flattened..... any way ... They were blocked.. I pulled them right out they are just rubber plugs.. and low and behold... water water ...water every where water -I think about 2 gallons probably came flooding out ....so problem fixed...

I left the plugs out ... to help it drain .. but as an FYI to any one else... hope this posting helps!
