04 ls sport.. need to replace trunk

Does anyone know of anything I can do to change out the trunk of my Cavalier?

I bought it about 5 months ago for 12,9 with 14k miles on it. I really like the look of it, but I hate the trunk.. It's keeping me from changing the tail lights as well as putting a spoiler on it.

That's my current trunk. Is there any way I can change it to this trunk?

I havent found a way to buy one online, but if anyone knows how I might be able to get it done and could help it'd be appreciated.

If I could get that done, I'd put on some euros, and I'd LIKE to get a Cobalt SS wing put on it if it doesnt look ridiculous.

all 95-05 cav trunks should be interchangable, just go to a junkyard or look on ebay for one, if you look on ebay you might be able to score a 00-02 trunk with that wing in the picture with the euros

Like lance said all 95-95 trunks are interchangable so just find one you like, hopefully in the same color as yours and swap it out. I know alot of people dont like that stupid red strip going across the trunk.

...couldn't you just take the tail lights and center panel off? And replace with the euros?

You can take the tails off but I dont think that red thing comes off and if it does im sure once its off there will be holes behind it from screws or something. what he could do is either paint the center thing to match the car or he could buy the CF insert that covers it and then buy the euros and throw them on.

That's what I want to do. I want an 03+ trunk and paint around the lights the color of my car, like I did with my taillights. Too bad we can't trade

That, and I wouldn't have a replacement trunk to use while I ship mine to him, and I'm sure he doesn't either lol.

But yes, I'd paint around the lights so it looks like this....

Ok I was confused for a second there, so what you want to do is paint the red center as welll as aroun the tails to match the color of your car. I think that looks pretty sweet actually. Altough I think I might want to shave the light on the trunk.

They kinda look like Cobalts with the trunk lights tho, and I'd personally want to have reverse lights on my vehicle lol

Lance I would trade you trunks in a heart beat. I fucking hate the 03+ trunk design. We both have red cars so that makes it even more tempting eh eh ehhhhh.

Also that damn light bar is held on with more bolts then the stock front and rear bumpers....can ya feel the safety? Thats why most people go with the totally ummmm.....cool gay rksport cf insert that sticks on and sooner or later cracks peels yellows or just looks like ass in a few months.

I want the one with the silver bar in the center tho What year/model did they come on? I don't feel like looking lol And EVERY 03+ cavy I see around here doesn't have it, they only have the gold bowtie.
