Everybody and their mother knows the VIII is coming not the VII, congratulations you found the lancer evo VII spec sheet, now the real specs for the us lancer have not been released yet, i suggest you shut up and not claim to know what you obviously don't. Moron, way to make yourself look stupid.

Man Autoenthuser,

Thanks for clearing that up, I think I will jsut listen to what you have to say now that you make Mitsu's decisions! Your Awesome, I think everyone else is with me that your the man and we all want to be just like you!

IMHO, mtillman is just putting info up here that people like to read. Autoenthuser, you like to read the newspaper, it says just as much bu!!$h1T as you! But still, I wish we were all as mature as you.

NOW, STFU!!!!

ok aggressiveass, at least i don't claim to know what nobody knows. He just wanted to sound important and came off as an ass. Nobody actually into an Evo thinks that any of that worthless crap is information.

Ok Autoenthuser,

You are obviously the big man here, I am starting to get scared. please stop (crying).

boardrider

Oh im sorry, you said nobody cares.

I do believe that most people care to see the info finally in stone via mitsu. I really dont think that copying a web site is sounding important more that it is displaying info that he has found, not tring to make it up like others.

Since you are the big man around here why dont you tell mitsu they were wrong is saying "Oh, and by the way, we are getting the Evo VII the first quarter of 2003 as stated by Mitsu. in their many press releases."

Just tell them what a big man you are and maybe they will listen to you cause sure as hell no one in here is.

Now is the time to get off my a$$ and his!

Speculaton

Now that we've cleared up the fact that no one knows precisely WHAT we'll be getting, can we be patient and wait for valid info from mitsu??

I've been speculating right along with everybody else, and taking all the rumors in stride. Why, you ask?? Because the people on this (and other forums) have a genuine interest in this car, and search out any info they can get their hands on, whether it's real info or complete horseshit. The specs listed above are those of the EVO VII. We do not know if that is what we'll be getting. It's likely that WHATEVER we get, it'll be watered down from what the rest of the world will be getting.

I don't want any of the wild rumors and speculation to go away (because frankly, I find it hilarious), but please quote sources, if possible.

I, for one, know that I will be buying pretty much whatever we get (and replacing the front bumper and grill ASAFP if the EVO VIII pictures are accurate, 'cuz that ain't nothin but ugly), so it doesn't much matter to me what specs we have. I can afford to import j-spec if I need to(likely), and the car will be faster that what I have now, anyway.

I am in line to get the car, and the dealer keeps calling me and blowing smoke up my ass. I have not yet passed along any of the info he has given me, because he can't put any of it in writing (I asked). When he gets REAL info, he has been instructed to call me, and I will make my decision based on that info.

If you feel like posting info on the j-spec EVO VII or what your dealer told you will be on the car, by all means do so.

If you feel like flaming someone for what they post, feel free to do that too, but don't expect anyone to believe what you tell them when YOU decide to post.

Thumbs down

sorry to burst your bubble but the evo7 we have got in the middle east is a 320bhp one so dont say that its a load of crap. the dealer had the specs so dont make a fuss about it, wish i had a dyno to test it but i dont so whatever mitsubishi says is true, end of story.
one question whats the 0-100kph on the euro evo, coz theres alot of crap with that.
i'm asking coz in a mag it said that our evo is said to leap 100kph in 4.8s but i'm not sure untill i find for sure how much it is in the 276bhp version. mags tend to make mistakes but there if a great difference in hpz so who knows.
i remember seeing a site with a calculator that gives u the aproximate time needed.
ciao

know your stuff

First off the Jap spec EVO VII is rated at 276bhp. This is because all Jap cars need to be under 276bhp for emission laws there. The real rated bhp of an EVO VII is about 320bhp. All the Japs do is make the bhp seem lower than it really is so they can get the car passed. Next the new EVO VIII is comming this January '03 with a new 6-speed gearbox to rival the new STi that is also coming to the sates. The new EVO VIII will have some bodychage and a little added weight for emissions testing. The bhp out put will be no lower than 250bhp here in the states. The truth and nothing but the truth
