How come ya'll's rides aint got different fenders?

Ok, first off, I'm not puttin down anybody's car, every pic I've seen of ya'lls cars look badass, but I just noticed that none of u guys have Z3 or M3 or Dragon or some other kind of fenders. I have Z3 fenders that will be goin on (my car goes in Sat by the way, its about damn time!) and I think they'll look pretty cool. Does anyone have problems with them, or do u guys just prefer it stock?

PS Not much point to this thread, im just killin time, but I do want opinions on it, cuz im tryin to get a feel for whether or not my car is gonna be even the slightest bit ricey. Thanx in advance

first off, i'm not really about the eye catching mods. i'd rather do something that will catch a 4th gen owner's eye.

i hate the seat belts in the 90-91 hatch...always stuck in the door. but, i also hate the screw holes in the corners on the 88-89 hatch. so i got an 89 and upgraded to 90 fenders i love it when people someone is looking at my car and then say something about it being a '90. i say nope and they go back and look again with a confused look on their face.

IMO, i think it's sweet to have someone think your car is mildly modded...until they start to look at it. the more they look the more detail they find. i'm not into my car being really flashy and screaming for attention from 5 blocks away.

but, that's me....and we're all different

LOL Ami.

I don't have different fenders, cuz I think the stock ones are just fine. The vents in the Z3's or whatever are only for looks, they aren't functional, so, in light of that fact, it's difficult for me to justify spending money on them. I've got some non-functional cosmetic mods (my fiberglass wing), and, admittedly, that's the same thing, but (IMO) I think the wing looks badass, whereas the Z3 fenders just look OK...

I put some teg side-markers in my fenders though if that counts... :sun:

I think aftermarket fenders only look good with certain body kits.

I think they only look good on a Z3. If they actually vented the engine bay or something I might get some. I would consider CF Fenders but they are like $600/set which is too rich for my blood.

Yeah, I hate those too.. I removed mine and added 4pt harnesses and then put 89 door panels in to remove the extra space in the 91 door panel.. I contemplated making it a speaker enclosure but then got lazy. I might still do it if the mood strikes me.

my opinion
it's a honda, if you want to copy a BMW then go buy one
in my mind the whole point of a custom car is to be different than the rest on the street. if its your money then do what pleases you, dont worry about other opinion
